* SIMPLE & AFFORDABLE

Introducing Precynge.

THE NEWEST WAY TO IMPROVE THE ACCURACY & PRECISION OF A SYRINGE

Dosage errors are dangerous to patients

There is currently no technology used in hospitals to measure doses <1.0 ml, forcing healthcare workers to utilize the manual method. This has limited accuracy and precision, leaving patients vulnerable.

Neonatal and early pediatric patients are three times more likely of experiencing adverse drug events compared to adults.

Medication errors with the potential to cause harm occur eight times more often in NICU settings compared with adult hospital settings.

Medication errors represented almost half (47%) of all NICU medical errors submitted to the Vermont Oxford Network's NICQ.org voluntary reporting system.

Up to 17.8% of hospitalized children get the wrong dose of medicine. Even more, 34.7% of children receiving pre-hospital care get an incorrect dose.

Improve patient's safety in hospitals

Precynge is here to help. Our device can help healthcare providers measure medication used in a syringe ensuring accurate doses that keep patients safe and healthy. The device measures the exact volume of the medication to ensure every patient gets exactly what they need. It's fast, accurate, cost-effective, and easy-to-use.

We understand that accuracy and precision is crucial in healthcare settings, where even small errors can lead to irreversible consequences. With Precynge taking care of your measuring needs and providing an extra layer of security for patients, you can be confident that errors will become less likely. Plus, our device is remarkably easy-to-use - making it incredibly convenient without compromising on precision or reliability!

Utilizing the Precynge is significantly more accurate in measuring a 0.1 ml dose than a manual syringe.

Here's how it works

1. Setup & verify

At the beginning of preparing a dose, gather all the needed materials. This includes the drug and sterile water if the drug needs to be reconstituted. One also needs a syringe, needle, alcohol wipes, and final delivery vehicle if not the syringe. The drug should be verified against the patient order to ensure this is correct.

2. Measure dose

Insert the 1 ml syringe into the Precynge device. Zero out the device to ensure that it reads 0.0 ml with the syringe having no liquid. The volume is ready to be measured. Spike the source vial and fill the syringe until the volume displayed on Precynge matches the order.

3. Medicine is ready

Remove the vial from the needle and then the syringe from Precynge, as it contains the exact volume needed for the patient. The drug is ready to be administered to the patient. The device is ready to be used on the next patient, following all of these steps again.

''If you are able to consistently measure accurate doses for even the smallest neonates, then one can bring safety and assurance to care that currently doesn’t exist.''

About Stephen

Assure Technologies, LLC has created a groundbreaking medical device called Precynge (a precise syringe), which offers a cost-effective solution for accurately measuring small dosages of medication, particularly for neonatal and pediatric patients. The brainchild of Stephen Eckel, a prominent researcher and educator at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, this innovative product promises to revolutionize the way medical professionals care for their most vulnerable patients.

Stephen is also an Associate Dean and Associate Professor at UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, with years of experience in pharmacy administration at UNC Hospitals and researching the best IV safety technologies. At UNC Medical Center's cancer pharmacy, Stephen saw a unique opportunity to revolutionize medication dosing preparation. He noticed that there was a discrepancy in the dosages prescribed by physicians and the final doses prepared by the pharmacy. This inspired him to develop new technologies that could accurately measure medications and enhance patient well-being.

Discovering that hospital technologies could not accurately measure doses, Stephen had a brilliant solution - the Precynge. This device eliminates the risk of human error, ensuring precise measurements for patient care.
